We love sharing ideas with other councils. Here are some topics we have shared as table talks and breakout rotations on the district and state level at conferences and workshops.

Automating & Organizing Sweepstakes was presented at the 2024 Advisor Workshop as a breakout rotation. The automating portion was presented at the previous year’s advisor workshop as a table talk. If you have any questions, please email tim.watson@rockwallisd.org

Here is the link to all of the documents shared during that session, including our report form from the last two years that show everything we completed for the year to earn Sweepstakes: Document Link

Vote for Bugs Bunny was presented at both TASC D3 Fall Conference and TASC Middle Level in 2024. This fun activity you can do with your council helps students understand your election process.

Be A Light In The Shadows was our TASC Vice President State Officer campaign at the 2024 Annual Conference. We ran on the platfrom sharing the need to work with local and state child advocacy groups.

This presentation was used for our Table Talks at the 2024 TASC Annual Conference. While they do not have all of our talking points, it does give a general guide. Feel free to reach out for more information about any of these topics.

We have not used this one as a presentation yet, but it is good information to share.

We have these printed and posted in our StuCo room so students can refer back to it for Parliamentary Procedure.

Scrum-Boards

We use a project planning technique taken from the I.T./Programming world called Scrum Boards. It is a visual way for us to see which committees have projects planned and how they are working through the planning process. Once completed the projects are entered into a google form. See the automating and organizing sweepstakes presentation above for more information.

We have twice presented with Rowlett High School’s advisor about the benefits of large format printers at advisor workshop. We currently use the HP T630 Printer we purchased on Amazon in 2021.

We save so much time now when creating dress up day posters, activity announcements, etc as student can design in Canva and then we print it out.

As the 2024-2025 TASC State Vice President School and 2026 TASC Annual Conference Host, we presented about elections and hosting at the 2024 Advisor Workshop where tips and updates were shared by our advisor.

Interested in running for a TASC state officer position or applying to host an upcoming conference? We would love to help answer any questions you might have.

As the 2024-2025 TASC State Vice President School, our school is also responsible for presenting about community service. While only 1 community service project is required for your state report forms, there are many project opportunities that would also fall into PP, EE, and DASH. Some of our favorites are working with child advocacy groups, food banks, blood drives, and projects you can find on dosomething.org and justserve.org
